The Quagmire of my Discontent: The Apocalypse of WeeSaul - Abondon all hope, ye who enter here!!!

Work is an interesting subject and one I have a ton of experience in. I have held positions from dockworker to manager to instructor, I have worked multiple jobs at various times through my life, and I have come to realize that working under others sucks...

Being that I have an extensive resume with a wide variety of different positions and the fact that I have attended two colleges, one trade school, and technical school obtaining along the way journeyman's papers, an associate degree, and a bachelor's degrees, one may think that I could possibly have something worthwhile to say, and that this pearl of wisdom may be of some value to one of the two current employers I have...

Well, in the real world it ain't so at least at this particular employer. Seems I ain't gots me the smarts to do anything above and beyond the task for which I receive a paycheck...

If I happened to be in charge of the aforementioned company I would utilize every skill or resource that my employees possessed. I do not possess the ability to shun those who may have a better idea than myself. If the ideas have the ability to make me look good or increase my bonuses at the end of the year, I would definitely implement the suggests...

Maybe this is why I have not as of yet advanced through this company (a first for me), they preach team, but they want individual achievement. To win as a whole, penalizes those who could financially benefit the most. The plaques on the wall would not be to an individual, but belong to the team...

As stated in a previous entry in this here confessional, a change is called for in 2006, and this current state will be one of the changes made...
